So we started a blog to keep people up to date about our new life in Colorado. Crazy, we know!

New car!!!!

Okay. So we know that it's been almost a month. Life has been SUPER busy for us! One of the big things that happened is that we lost the Izuzu Rodeo to overheating and a million other things that would have cost a bundle, so we decided to get a new (to us) car!

The above picture is the Rodeo's last drive from the repair shop to the dealership. They were willing to buy the car from us and we filled up the radiator and prayed it would make the 8.2 miles there!

Andy saying good-bye to his beloved car. That car took him to OBU, Pine Cove, and was our wedding get-away car. We will miss it!

Our last shot with the car. Notice how the Honda sign is in the background. Haha. The guy who sold us our new car took this picture. Product placement anybody?

And now for our new baby!

Isn't it pretty? It's a 2001 Honda Civic. It has quite a few miles, but has recently had all the replacements that Andy's car needed, so we hope not to have to do any major repairs for awhile. It looks a lot like my car and we now say we have "twins."

It's nice and clean. Unlike my car.

Our slick new ride! Andy loves getting 35 mpg and paying a lot less at the gas pump. We are so blessed to be able to find this car when we needed it most!

We promise that a new video blog will be following soon! Andy's work has kept him pretty tired and we have been busy becoming part of the worship for the youth group at the church we joined as well as joining a small group. We miss all of you!

So we didn't get 12 comments.... but here it is anyway

While we didn't get 12 comments, we were impressed enough with the other 9 and Andy decided to post the answer to the trick. Or maybe we were gonna post it anyway..... either way, now you know!

Finally.... another video blog.

Denver Rockies!

So, on Labor day we got to go out and enjoy a Rockies game with some of the other students from my program along with their significant others. Here we are, in the sun, ready to enjoy the game!

Here is Andy and the group we went with. We only stayed in these seats for about 30 minutes before we moved up to some higher, shaded seats.

A view of some of the field. What I was really trying to get were the mountains in the background. The scenery was just beautiful. You don't get that at a Drillers game.

Us with downtown Denver in the background. We had a great time exploring the city a little, riding the light rail, and enjoying a little baseball. Can you tell we are tired and hot? Hopefully we'll get to go again soon!

Our First Geocaching Day in Denver

So since our last duo video blog, we have received quite a few suggestions on what we should put up to entertain the fans. We got suggestions for great duo video blogs as well as a request for more andyfacts.com (see the post before this one for the premier). Another suggestion from Dad E was that we post some pictures of us exploring the area.

We decided to complete this task by doing some geocaching in our new neighborhood. We explored three different parks in the area and found seven different caches. We had a few snags, but for the most part we had a fun day! The weather was perfect and despite some really bad coordinates and clues, we would definitely consider today a success. While the pictures are not in order (thank you blogspot), each has their own story.

The picture above was supposed to be a multi-cache (where you go to one spot to get the coordinates for the next spot). Unfortunately, whatever we were supposed to find at the first spot wasn't there. Not to be deterred, we used Andy's awesome 7th sense for the location of geocaches and found the second cache without the coordinates. That log in his hand is the actual 2nd cache. Pretty sneaky look.

This little cache was pretty tough to find, but was in a beautiful spot by a lake. Minus the mold and thorns, it was a pretty fun find!

This was a pretty cool hiding spot and a pretty easy find.

This was our second cache of the day. It is actually a locked box on the side of an electricity pole. This was Andy's favorite of the day because it was such a unique way to hide a cache. You can't see them, but there were HUGE industrial power lines above us crackling the whole time. Andy said that the metal plate in his head was starting to feel funny. Wonder if that is FDA approved?

Can you find the cache in this picture? It's in there. (You can't see it, but we found it!)

This was our last find of the day. A little bit screwy. We actually went to find one more in a pine tree, but we looked forever and since we were surrounded by scary people who were hiding things in the bushes pretty near us for a later night underage drinking party we decided to leave.

This was actually our first cache in a really pretty park. There were quite a few people out and about so we had to put on our stealth.

Overall, we had a great day! We were thwarted by three caches, but we hope to get back out soon and find those and some new ones. Another fun-filled day for the new Dossetts. Now, back to the Olympics and those underage gymnasts.

Do you like music for the video?
